Thursday, March 1, 2006, East Georgia College, Swainsboro, Georgia
The Pops makes it's first appearance at East Georgia College on Thursday, March 1 with two concerts on campus in the Gambrell building auditorium. There will be a morning concert at 11:00 am and an evening show of 2 hours at 7:00 pm. Both concerts will feature the vocal stylings of Stuart Ambrose and Maria Howell. Stuart is a graduate of Emory University and is making his debut with The Pops. He is a rising star in musical theater as well as stage plays and now resides in North Hollywood, CA. Maria has moved to Atlanta from New York and has appeared with The Pops twice before and with the Cab Calloway Band as well as other notables.

Saturday, March 4, 2006, Newnan, Georgia
The Pops will play a return engagement at The Performing Arts Center in Newnan, Georgia on Saturday, March 4 at 7:30 pm. Stuart Ambrose and Maria Howell will be the featured vocalists along Geoffrey Haydon as piano soloist in a Gershwin Medley. Stuart and Maria will sing two duets and two solos each. Saturday, May 27, 2006 Fayetteville, Georgia
Memorial Day Concert at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville. Featured on the patriotic tribute show will be the South City Voices, The Philco Radio Players, and The Atlanta Pops Big Band, plus other surprises. This is a free, public concert sponsored by the City of Fayetteville Mainstreet Tourism Office and the Music Performance Fund administered by the Atlanta Federation of Musicians.

Saturday, December 2, 2006 Cartersville, Georgia
The Atlanta Pops plays their annual Christmas concert at The Grand Theater in Cartersville, Georgia. This concert will feature the local vocal quartet Press Play and two other vocal soloists, Clara Reaves in her third appearance with the pops and LeAnn Blanchard in her debut appearance. The concert will be at 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 2nd. Tickets may be purchased by calling 770-607-3686. This concert will be conducted by Pops Music Director John Head.

2004

The archive of 2004 concerts can be viewed here. The highlight of the year was the Pops tour of Taiwan (see below).

March 28 - April 18, 2004 Taiwan Tour
The Atlanta Pops Orchestra successfully made it's first international tour in it's 50 year history this Spring with a 16 concert tour of the major cities of Taiwan, including Taipei, Khaoshung, Taichung and Tainan. John Head conducted and 3 concerts on the tour featured Craig Shulman, longtime performer in Phantom Of The Opera on Broadway. The Pops program was "America the Beautiful" a musical portrait of our diverse country.
